Be Still

In a season that is about Love, Peace and Joy, what a better time to have a Silent Night!

To Be Still before a Mighty God. To actually listen for His voice, to hear what He has to say.

In confusion to stop striving and recognize our Lord, to calm down and learn about His way instead of insisting on our own.

What if...

in this season we all "Step out of traffic! Take a long, loving, look at Me, your High God, above poitics, above everything!" Ps 46:10 Msg.

It is time to be absolutely certain and sure that we have developed a relationship through meeting with and spending time with the Lover of our soul. Jesus Christ the Messiah, God with us, now and forever more.

"Be still and Know I Am God!" Ps 46:10

Living From the Presence

Ps 16:11

You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. NKJV

Now You've got my feet on the life path, all radiant from the shining of your face. Ever since you took my hand, I'm on the right way. The Message

The thought of fullness of joy is one that is inviting and a mystery. What does "fullness of joy" look like? Getting everything we want, when we want it? Everything going well? Or is it about being what you are created to be?

I can't imagine our Mr. Megas goofy dog running around climbing trees and saving pinecone seeds to eat for the winter. I can't imagine a whale walking around in our driveway. But the Word of God and the life of Jesus helps me to imagine living in the fullness of who I was created to be,a daughter/son of the Most High God. My inheritance is about being full of joy, peace, faith, kindness, goodness, patience, self-control and of course full of Love. Love for God, Love for people. Why the capital letter? Because Love with a capital L only comes from the one who created and is totally made of Love.

It thrills my heart to see a 1st grade young lady flying a flag during worship who is so in Love with Jesus that she just pours out that Love by focusing on Him and how much He Loves her. Love is simple, not complicated, but it does cost. We must leave behing the things that separate us from the one who Loves and become the object of His Love, the reason we were created.

Fullness of joy? I believe it is all wrapped up in the Love of the One who's presence should be the most important. Jesus, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Lover of my soul. My joy is in You.
